Job Overview

To support our Engineering Department we are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f)
Workplace: Pratteln, Baselland, Switzerland
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Development and design of speed sensors according to the technical product specification
• Keep records of the complete design definition dossier in respect of internal and external customers requirements
• Being responsible for deliverables relevant to the mechanical design according to TE’s development process (LEANPD, QMS)
• Participating to the development and integration of new and innovative technologies
• Contact person for technical aspects to the customer during the development phase
• Working closely together with Electrical Design on the electronic component integration in speed and position sensors
• Supporting the validation office in specifying , implementing and analyzing performance and environmental tests relevant to the designed sensors
• Defining and providing the specification and key requirements to develop and set up specialized equipment in production in cooperation with the Production Engineering team
• Acting as a key player to converge towards a high quality and cost effective solution in respect of the project timeline
Requirements
• Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (university degree preferred)
• Expert in mechanical design, development and validation
• At least 5 years of experience in designing devices for harsh environment
• Good knowledge in mass production requirements (industrial and automotive, design best practice, assessing test setup and reviewing test reports)
• Experienced in using CAD (Solidworks) and simulation tools (Ansys)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German
• A curious and motivated and proactive person who enjoys working independently as well as in a team
• Ability to perform and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Interdisciplinary way of thinking and communication
