To support our Engineering Department we are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer (m/f)

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Modification and improvement of released speed sensor portfolio according feedback from market, customer, operations
Support, maintain, and enhance released speed sensor product design to grow the business through product cycle lifetime extension and to maintain profitability through design cost reduction project
• Keep records of the complete design definition dossier in respect of internal and external customers requirements
• Being responsible for deliverables relevant to the design according to TE’s development process (LEASE, QMS)
• Participating to the product optimization by supporting Quality/operation and development team
• Contact person for technical aspects to the customer during the improvement phase
• Working closely together with Electrical Design on the electronic component integration in speed and position sensors
• Supporting the validation office in specifying , implementing and analyzing performance and environmental tests relevant to the designed sensors
• Defining and providing the specification and key requirements to develop and set up specialized equipment in production in cooperation with the Production Engineering team
• Acting as a key player to converge towards a high quality and cost effective solution in respect of the project timeline
Requirements
• Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (university degree preferred)
• Expert in mechanical design, development and validation
• At least 5 years of experience in designing devices for harsh environment
• Good knowledge in mass production requirements (industrial and automotive, design best practice, assessing test setup and reviewing test reports)
• Experienced in using CAD (Solidworks) and simulation tools (Ansys)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German
• A curious and motivated and proactive person who enjoys working independently as well as in a team
• Ability to perform and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Interdisciplinary way of thinking and communication
