Team Lead Avaloq Release Management

Role Purpose:


We are searching an experienced team and release manager who owns all processes and tasks related to Avaloq release planning and deployment activities.The role owner is responsible for managing the team consisting of release managers and technical engineers, but also does not hesitate to put his hands on tasks himself. He brings along several years of technical and business related experience in the Avaloq world that enables him to deliver high quality release management services but also allows him to analyse, understand and solve any technical or business related Avaloq issues.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Responsible to plan an manage all release and environment management services for Avaloq (Avaloq ACP and Avaloq AFP)

  • People & line management of the core applications team (approx. 6 employees)

  • Closely works with Test Management to ensure high quality release delivery

  • Identifies and ensures continuous improvement of processes and quality of services

  • Delivers consulting services to other departments for technology and deployment services

  • Supports project in guiding them through the release governance process

  • Acts as technical gatekeeper (Release governance) to Application Management, Change Mgmt, Test Mgmt, Operations & 3rd Parties

  • Acts as main contact to Avaloq Release Management (release planning, downloads, issue raising and resolution)

  • Delivers three years rolling Global Release Plan and other communications on official channels


Required Skills:



  • Professional training or degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent)

  • Track record in Avaloq Release Management technical & planning/controlling tasks (min 5 years)

  • Team leader experience in leading and developing several employees (min 3 years)

  • Deep understanding of Avaloq core platform and technical concepts (database, object model, ILM, back ground processed, PL-SQL)

  • Avaloq Certification and recent renewals

  • Proven knowledge of software technologies, understanding of software engineering processes to engage with development teams

  • Proven knowledge of test management / environment management processes. JIRA knowledge is an asset.

  • Knowledge in Avaloq Front Platform is an asset

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain processes and technical concepts

  • Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment

  • Structured and efficient way of working

  • English and German written and spoken.
