The role of GPG Continuous Improvement Manager will be a part of the Robotics and Motion (RM). ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry. The role will be to act as ABB’s Group Function Continuous Improvement manager in the product group in-charge. Establish and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) coordinated across all operations. Lead the implementation of processes and tools excellence and improvement initiatives, best practices, and governance in priority units within assigned units.

Aufgaben :


Main responsibilities will include:

• Analysis & Initiative Leadership

Perform detailed analyses targeted at value chain processes. Identify key root causes for sub-optimal customer service levels, process cost adders, and drives improvement initiatives locally/regionally.

• Fit-gap solution/assessments

Coach and train local units in developing detailed gap analyses across the value chain and provides solutions to reach expected customer service levels at optimized inventory levels by utilizing value chain assessment methods on a regular basis.

• Initiate and ensure conformance of a Quality Management System (QMS) in line with BU regulations and Group / Divisional guidance (incl. instructions and directives) across all functions.

• Support Account Management and sales in specific quality issues to ensure that these are resolved in a timely manner. Ensure that the respective RCA reports in these issues have high standards and meet customer’s expectations.

• Coach front-end staff in capturing Voice of the Customer e.g. to promote using CCRP process to log all customer quality issues to increase transparency and speed in issue resolutions.

• Business Excellence

Support deployment and use of common processes using global tools to impact Productivity and Service Level to internal and external customers.

• Networking and Change Management

Develop effective relationships with local/regional management, and functional colleagues within EP and across ABB divisions. Support change management, quality analytics reporting requirements, tool/template deployment for key strategic initiatives.

• Promote best practice spreading of standard processes, tools and improvement projects across all Country operations and benchmarking with other countries. Use a network and regular meetings with LBU/LPG Q Managers.

• Support GF-Q&Ops/CI and Divisions / BUs in coordinating Lean Six Sigma training and certification of local staff and management. Act as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt coach when appropriate.

• Act as mentor to local Quality and Continuous Improvement Managers, support in identifying and assessing potential candidates and their development


Anforderungen:


Ideally you should have a Post graduate degree, preferably in manufacturing / engineering / SCM / Quality with minimum 5 years of related work in ABB and / or externally. Very good understanding of customer care related processes e.g. in CCRP, NPS, SFDC, ServIS, SAP. Experience in implementing ISO standards in operations and knowhow in quality management systems. Experience in coaching and training colleagues in quality processes, techniques and methodologies.

You should be a strong communicator, able to work with and through others, experienced in Change Management tools and practices with demonstrated ability to work effectively in large and diverse operating environments and multiple units. Fluency in English & Willing to travel both locally and internationally.
