Financial Controller In this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial recording for GIS Finance Department in Geneva.

  • Support to the Business Controller in cost controlling.

  • Interact with stakeholders from different departments based in Geneva, suppliers, Global Business Service in Poland and SGS affiliates worldwide.

 Specifically you will: 

  • Supervise, control and analyse the financial recording for GIS Geneva department (Account Payable, Account receivable, General Ledger).     

  • Manage and organize monthly closing activities with the Geneva team and the Global Business Service in Poland.

  • Supervise and control the GIS financial reports generated for the GIS management, the Business Controller and Group Control.

  • Create ad hoc financial reports according to the management needs.

  • Implement new contacts from an accounting point of view and liaise with other financial department (Tax, Treasury, etc.)

  • Support and controlling of financial plan for capital expenditure requests.

  • Controlling affiliate reporting. Support to the affiliate for the reporting.

  • Assist business controller in forecasting, budgeting and planning.

  • Interact with auditors during Interim, hard and fast closes.


 
Educational / Professional qualifications & Experience

  • Commercial diploma (CFC Commercial employee).

  • 3 years of previous experience in a similar position.

  • French and English (spoken and written).


Skills



  • Ability to communicate and work in an international environment.

  • ERP system: Oracle, HFM

  • Computer literate - Excel (pivot table, macros, graphs, etc.)

  • Communicant, pro-active, analytical, adaptable, autonomous, organized and business oriented.

  • High sense of accuracy.
