We are looking for: Intern : Environmental Engineer Key qualifications : - Currently studying for a degree in environmental engineering or related areas - Knowledgeableexperienced in environmental issues and riskimpact assessment - Knowledgeableexperienced in water resources management - Knowledgeable in project management - Fluent in both written and spoken English If you are also good with deadlines, teamwork and feedback, you are the one we want for our Agricultural Programs Department (in Philip Morris Products S.A., Operations Center) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Department overview : The objective of PMI’s Leaf Agronomy Department is to produce quality leaf & clove required to sustain our brand portfolio, improve the socioeconomic conditions of local farming communities and protect the environment. To do so we develop and deploy dedicated strategies and implement programs. As a student, you will contribute to a project which consists in supporting the implementation of the Leaf Water Stewardship Strategy to manage water resources and address water risks in the tobacco supply chain. Particular focus of the project is on water friendly agricultural practices and innovative approaches to water availability, water efficiency and water quality. To do this, you will need to perform assigned tasks and based on risk assessments, framework for actions and local tobacco growing areas operating environment, propose solutions, assessing cost and benefit, to address and minimize risks and support tobacco farmers to manage water resources in a sustainable manner.
