To support our R&D team in the Adhesives area within the Technology department, we are looking for a Trainee. The traineeship should last 6 - 12 months and is based in Basel.

Principal accountabilities and responsibilities entrusted during the traineeship :

Subject 1 : Stabilization of acrylic formulation

• Ensure bibliographic study


• Extract the technical data and properties from various documentation


• Ensure qualitative analyzes and formulations such as reactivity, viscosity


• Establish technical reports based on the researches


• Ensure that all activities within the laboratory are in line with environment, Health and Safety principles

Subject 2 : Radical initiator system for acrylics

Due to the legislation change, you will be looking at finding new alternatives to our current system.

• Ensure bibliographic study


• Establish technical report documentation (including mechanisms)


• Ensure laboratory activities on the implementation into our formulations such as reactivity, adhesion, viscosity…


• Ensure that all activities are in line with Environment, Health and Safety principles

Requirements:
 

• Student (Bachelor or Master degree) in Chemical Engineering


• Team player with good communication skills


• Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment, with a proactive approach


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Careful and detail oriented approach


• Good IT and MS office knowledge (especially Excel)


• Effective oral and written English skills, any other languages is an asset
