Description
Research scientist in probiotic development (PhD required) “I want to make an impact locally and have an influence globally” Nestlé Research Konolfingen (Bern), Switzerland Undefined period of time contract, act rate 100% Nestlé Research Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Dairy and Nutrition. In addition, it also provides technical assistance to our factories. Key responsibilities
Manage innovation projects aiming at developing new probiotic & synbiotic concepts
Scale up new probiotic manufacturing processes (from laboratory scale to factory)
Optimize process performance of current probiotic strains
Propose new ideas & assess new technologies to improve probiotic stability
Propose new concepts with short, medium but also long term applications in alignment with our business strategy and demonstrate feasibility
Present results to stakeholders and at international conferences
Work in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Work in team with laboratory technicians and organize their work when necessary
Interact with experts in the field of probiotics (internally and externally) Education and experience
PhD in microbiology or biotechnology
Experience in the field of fermentation or probiotics is a must
Experience in molecular biology or powder science is a plus
Ability to work autonomously with a strong team spirit
Advanced or fluent in English
