Job Description
You will provide technical support in the evaluation of novel monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) in relevant pre-clinical in vivo murine models.
As the team is still expanding, we are looking for an initiative and self-dependent team player, who likes to work in an environment, where everyone’s performance has an impact and who likes to be part of the start-up team supporting the company’s further growth.
Your Responsibilities
· Handling and working with laboratory animals including: well-being observations, data collection, sampling of in vivo/ex vivo material, drug administration (i.v., o.g., i.p., s.c.)
· Prepare study folders, record books and electronic study folders. Update and maintain study progress records.
· Confirm availability of required equipment and prepare equipment/software protocols for recordings. Report equipment shortages/faults.
· Record and analyse electronic files.
· Comply with animal welfare legislation and through your attitude and actions contribute to a culture of care.
· Execute basic key activities to maintain the care of laboratory animals.
· Provide support in in vitro activities such as cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. ELISA, western blot, flow cytometry, etc..).
· Knowledge of imaging systems is beneficial
Minimum requirements
Education
· Laboratory technician (biology background) with knowledge of preclinical in vivo
· models and certified training in animal work
· Training in cell and molecular biology is beneficial
Qualifications / Experience
• Valid LTK1 or matching habilitation to work with animal models
• Educated, trained or experienced as a technician, laboratory technician, bioanalyst, animal care technician or veterinary technician
Additional Skills
• Extraordinary attention to detail
• High motivation to work independently, flexibility with regard to working-hours and ability to accommodate changing priorities,timelines or tasks
• Basic computer skills including the use of MS Office, Graphpad Prism7, imaging software
• Good command of English, German desirable
