As a member of the Engineering & Development team of Cembra, you will actively participate in all stages of the software development life-cycle mainly focusing on requirements’ engineering, solutions’ design, systems’ integration and interfaces’ orchestration. You will be responsible for providing the design, development, configuration and maintenance for changes on existing systems or for introducing new systems working on a variety of applications, ranging from mission-critical middleware implementations to complex frontend applications..Key responsibilities
Design and development of integrated solutions for middleware, web and mobile applications
Technical ownership of Cembra Money Bank’s middleware and backend applications and micro services
Act as a SME and integrator with third parties providing design and development of backend services
Integrate with the existing solution portfolio as well as third parties
Provide change and project support for initiatives related to the applications’ portfolio
Liaise with production support and operations teams for Troubleshooting of production software and bug fixing (level 3 support)
Maintain the highest code quality standards
Willing to acquire strong banking business knowledge
Keep up-to-date on the cutting-edge technologies and contribute actively to the technical choices
Your profile
Master or Bachelor in Computer Science (or equivalent degree)
7+ years’ experience developing Java based applications
Deep knowledge of Software Design Patterns and Object Oriented Principles
Solid analytical and problem solving abilities
Experience in Service-Oriented (SOA) architecture and Microservice (MSA) architecture
Experience in designing and implementing ESB/Middleware solutions
Knowledge of messaging systems
Working experience with Java applications servers (WAS, JBoss, Tomcat)
Web technologies (SOAP, Rest)
Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Solid knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
Ability to read unfamiliar programming languages and pick up new syntax fairly fast
Passionate about programming and engineering
Not afraid of analyzing legacy applications, reverse engineering them and suggesting solutions
Team player and ability to work with 3rd party vendors
Good communication skills and an open style to provide transparency to management
