Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. is looking for a
CFD Engineer
Responsibilities
Develop CFD models to be used to support technology and product development of diesel and dual fuel 2-stroke engines with emphasis on gas and diesel combustion modelling.
Validate CFD models by defining and supporting engine tests.
Contribute to defining the role of CFD within the technology and product development processes.
Being responsible for the CFD knowledge evolution and management within the Engine Performance Department.
Collaborate with the other CFD teams within the company to share knowledge and harmonize processes.
Support intellectual property activities and publications, and influence international standards developments.
Establish and maintain contacts with scientific specialists, universities, research institutes and contribute to relevant international committees.
Requirements
CFD experience in the field of internal combustion engines preferably using Converge.
General knowledge on scavenging, combustion (gas and liquid fuels) and turbocharging processes at the heart of 2-stroke engines.
Combustion modelling preferably for both diesel and gas fuels.
Good programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Python).
Efficiently handling a wide range of tasks in parallel.
Strong communication skills and team player.
Good command of English language (written & oral).
