Position

We offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Quant Engineer with five to eight years work experience in the financial industry to assert him/herself in independent client interaction, strong people management skills and in business development.

The focus of the position is to increase market penetration through the conceptualization, development and delivery of advisory tools and systems within financial institutions across Europe.

Scope

We provide long term technological leadership to our clients in the form of Intelligent Technologies. Working closely with our clients, you will use your outstanding insights and understanding of the financial market and its instruments to satisfy real business needs for next generation quantitative methodologies and models for portfolio management and wealth advisory. Using your excellent technical skillset, you will investigate market trends, liase with clients and prospects to understand their problems and design and engineer sophisticated solutions. As an experienced problem solver, you will be responsible for leading product development initiatives from business case to prototype implementation and manage several projects in parallel while respecting deadlines. Your personal success will depend equally on your ability to establish a successful business case built on sustainable client relationships as well as on developing a highly competent quant team.

You strive to be a key player in this dynamic market by developing innovative solutions, all while assessing market opportunities and risks. In addition we expect:

• Higher university degree (PhD, MSc or equivalent) in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Mathematics, Applied Sciences or Quantitative Finance




• Strong technical skills built on five or more years’ experience in financial industry




• Sound business understanding and ability to build a business case




• Proven leadership of at least a small team




• Computer programming experience, in MATLAB or Python




• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment




• Fluency in German and English




• Holder of a Swiss work permit or eligible
