Major responsibility includes study director/monitor, representation of the discipline in project teams and scientific supervision.
Responsibilities:
• Study director/monitor - planning and coordinating studies either internally or at a CRO, including reviewing study protocols and reports for accuracy and data quality
• Timely and effective communication of data, strategy and results at departmental meetings as well as to project teams.
• Represent the discipline in project teams as a team member to define ADME strategy for compound selection and progression of the selected candidate in clinical development.
• Work collaboratively within cross-departmental teams, department-wide initiatives and work streams.
• Scientific supervision, mentor and coach junior scientists - designing experiments, reviewing results, data interpretation and troubleshooting

Translational Medicine (TM) is the clinical research arm of NIBR, and includes about 1000 associates globally. TM plays a pivotal role in bringing innovative medicines to patients, by building on research advances to develop new therapies, and bridging drug discovery and clinical application.
PK Sciences (PKS) is part of TM and partners across NIBR and Global Drug Development to advance the scientific knowledge of pharmacokinetics, metabolism and clinical pharmacology, and bring it to bear on drug discovery and development challenges throughout R&D.Minimum requirements• PhD or PharmD with 5+ years of experience in drug discovery or development in relevant field
• Strong background in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology or analytical chemistry
• Extensive understanding and knowledge of techniques, instrumentation, and underlying principles of ADME, specifically in the area of plasma protein binding and blood distribution. In vitro clearance of large and small molecules is highly desirable.
• Established scientific expertise in area of expertise trough publications and presentations at conferences
• Demonstrated success in working in a cross functional environment in a highly dynamic, matrix structure
• Strong organizational skills with critical thinking and problem solving skills with a proven ability to multitask successfully
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Confident and persuasive, succeeding through influence
• Resilient, energetic and enthusiastic; responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs
