GPS (Global Product Strategy) drives the business strategy at Roche from research to commercialization. GPS collaborates closely with teams across the organization to bring new therapies to the market and maximize the launched product portfolio. SI&A (Strategic Insights & Analysis) provides strategic direction for GPS through making insight-based recommendations that will drive competitive differentiation of products to enable success in the market.

Would you like to collaborate in the GPS mission to transform great science into a better life for patients everywhere? As a Strategic Insights Manager (SIM) within the Breast/Gynecology Cancer team you will be:



  • Working flexibly to execute high impact primary market research and forecasts

  • Design, execute, and deliver results of primary market research studies, selecting and managing external agencies to field the surveys

  • Creating robust global product revenue forecasts, new indication opportunity assessments, and business development guidance

  • Synthesizing information across primary and secondary sources in order to provide comprehensive insights and strategic direction

  • Partnering with SI&A colleagues to inform key questions from clinical development decisions to core marketing strategy (e.g. global marketing plan, product positioning for competitive launches)

  • Challenging existing assumptions and identifying critical business opportunities/risks, then delivering insights and recommendations to guide teams

  • Engaging with audiences at all levels of the organisation to share your insights and objective expert perspective

  • Presenting and defending your assessments to senior management

  • Working directly with team members across global departments, with primary stakeholders on the global marketing and medical affairs teams

  • Within SI&A, partner closely with Competitive Intelligence Managers and the Disease Area Insights Leads

  • Outside of global, collaborating closely with country-level analysts to guide their forecasts and insights


Essential requirements



  • 5 or more years commercial experience (e.g. market research, forecasting, strategic consulting, marketing, business development, portfolio management) in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in science, engineering, or a business discipline); a PhD, MBA, or other graduate-level degree is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills -fluency in written and spoken English is required

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
