CapEx Team Leader Investment Projects Pharma Finishing and Infrastructure

As CapEx Team Leader Investment Projects Finishing and Infrastructure you are responsible for the delivery of strategic global and local CapEx-projects from feasibility to planning, execution and qualification/validation within the remit of the Engineering and Project Management department. You are a member of the Engineering and Project Management leadership team and manage a team of highly qualified engineers in the Engineering Service (ES) department.

Your responsibilities furthermore include:

• Empowering leader for your team members and project managers by creating a level of competent and trustful partnership and providing technical and analytical guidance to achieve project objectives and desired program results and enable excellent performance and results


• Delivery of projects from feasibility to planning, execution and qualification/validation within the remit of the Engineering and Project Management department


• Responsible for CapEx-projects within the timelines specified and within the agreed budget, while ensuring the required quality and any specified regulations and guidelines are met or exceeded


• Support the continuous improvement of the project management tools and processes, such as a Project Management (PM) -handbook, SOPs for the respective business processes and components


• Provide ongoing local and global project status reports for the Senior Management and within the Engineering Services department including necessary KPI’s relating to timelines, cost and milestones in a concise and timely manner


• Manage all CapEx-related documentation such as qualification (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) and requirement specifications as well as supporting PV (Process Validation), CV (Cleaning Validation) and OR (operational readiness)


• Contributing to the delivery of the department and company strategy as well as supporting the financial CapEx / OpEx budgeting process including resource planning within the Engineering Services department

You are passionate about major CapEx projects in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record of successes in large and complex projects? You are a leader, who ensures development amongst a highly professional team?

As a self-starter and yourself a team player, you convince with the following competencies:

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent; ideally project management education


• Several years of successful project management and leadership experience on mid-sized and major CapEx projects with high complexity in the chemical, biotech- or pharmaceutical industry


• Proven project management skills (including contract management and controlling)


• Proven experience in cGxP and qualification as well as proven knowledge in chemical, biotech or pharmaceutical process and infra engineering


• Energetic and proactive person with strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to cope with time pressure in demanding situations


• Highly motivated self-starter with good problem-solving and social skills, service orientation and dedication


• Excellent written and spoken language skills in English and German
