Apply to JobJob ID246653BRPosition TitleSenior Project and Operations Manager, Oncology Global Medical AffairsJob DescriptionThe Project and Operations Manager is directly responsible for the planning and execution of all project related activities carried out for medical teams and functional heads. This includes working closely with team leaders and team members, the Global Group Medical Director, and the Franchise/Functional Head.



Accountabilities include all aspects of project management and operations management including the following:



• Responsible for setting the agenda for all team meetings, run the team meetings, take and issue meeting minutes, upload meeting minutes in a timely manner in Sharepoint, manage Sharepoint site and ensure meetings are scheduled and conducted with regular cadence

• Leading the team goal setting process annually and manage the progress and timely delivery of objectives

• Partnering with the Global Franchise Head (GFH)/ Integrated Disease Medical Team (IDMT) Leads to drive the development and execution of medical strategic & tactical planning (e.g. Integrated Disease and Product Strategy (IDAPS). Align with other Program/Project management teams where appropriate within the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) (e.g. GMVA) and Global Drug Development (GDD) for execution of yearly business planning activities

• Supporting leadership on budget and resource planning. In partnership with Finance coordinate the forecasting of team budgets (costs and headcount) for main planning cycles (Latest Forecast 1, Latest Forecast 2, Budget)

• Supporting preparation of team presentations, follow-up on key action items, and lead regular business reviews

• Responsible for monthly team update of project plans to monitor progress and be a strategic thought partner to the leader

• Responsible for resource forecasting and management for the program, including FTE and outside dollar spend/variable cost

• Responsible for ensuring team members participation in all planning cycles throughout the year

• Responsible for communicating and educating teams of all action items and deliverables from the MBO office

• Responsible for change management efforts and roll out of new processes, deliverables from a portfolio perspective, including systems.Minimum requirementsEducation:

• Advanced degree, such as MBA is an advantage

• Further Education in e.g. Educational Sciences, Change Management, Project Management, Coaching

• PMP certification is preferred



Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience preferably across several fields

• Knowledge of the Medical Affairs activities spanning from IITs, Phase IV studies, Medical Engagement and Market Access (preferred)

• Proven track record of project and program management

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to lead complex international multidisciplinary teams with a pragmatic approach

• Ability to think strategically and communicate complex information in simple terms

• Experience in planning and tracking skills, able to capture details and summarize across different levels

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to present and interact with senior management

• Facilitation skills for bridging between scientific and business, and for managing effective international and cross-divisional collaboration. Experience in planning and tracking skills, able to capture details and summarize across different levels

• Knowledge of resource (forecast and headcount) planning and management

• Proven self-starter with experience in building capabilities based on defined business needs across geography and functions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), able to bridge across a diverse cross-functional, multi-national and geographically diverse team

• Able to influence decision making and drive project teams for superior results

• Well organized and capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management
