Apply to JobJob ID249237BRPosition TitleSenior Scientist Mass Spectrometry Biologics Early Phase DevelopmentJob DescriptionTo develop our growing pipeline of products we are looking for a senior scientist in the area of mass spectrometry and analytical development.

The candidate will work in a team responsible for the characterization of therapeutic proteins of different formats by mass spectrometry.



Duties and Responsibilities:

•Perform characterization of therapeutic proteins, protein-conjugates, and their posttranslational modifications by MS using state-of-the-art LC-MS equipment.

•Compile analytical data from different analytical methods, write technical reports, and present conclusions in expert team meetings.

•Develop new methodologies and improve processes for effective characterization of bio-therapeutics as well as automated data analysis.

•Manage collaborations with external labs.

•Ensure maintenance of specialized technical equipment and organization of the general lab infrastructure.

•Effectively manage analytics characterization timelines to support several projects in parallel, and work closely with other teams in an international setting.

•Provide technical training to team members as required.

Minimum requirements•BS/MS, PhD degree or equivalent in biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related field

•At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mass spectrometric characterization of e.g. antibodies, bispecific Abs, therapeutic proteins.

•Expert knowledge of state-of-the-art ESI-Q-TOF, Orbitrap and MALDI-TOF MS technologies as well as data processing software solutions. Solid knowledge of protein chemistry and analytical methods for characterization of proteins (chromatography, electrophoresis, spectroscopy).

•Ability to interpret and present scientific information critically and objectively.

•Strong inter-personal skills ensuring close collaboration with multiple teams, communication with internal and external partners, and the ability to work in international teams.
