Expediting and QC coordination specialist (m/f)


 


In a first step, the employment is limited to 14 months for a specific project with option for a permanent employment.


 


Your Job



  • Ensure on-time delivery and required quality, functionality and documentation. Monitor the progress and timely manufacturing of components and goods at sub-vendors according to project schedule and project milestones

  • Identify potential issues at an early stage and contribute actively to a solution

  • Expediting and inspection visits at sub-vendors

  • Support procurement and project management

    • with scheduling expediting activites and inspection visits based on the project master schedule

    • with sub-vendor's progress reports and related documentation

    • with requesting, collecting and following-up of scheduled sub-vendor documents

    • with assessing actual vendor progress and coordinated actions in case of delays

    • with coordinating activities between the internal stakeholders in case of underperformance of the sub-vendor

    • with troubleshooting


  • Provide and share project related Non‐Conformity Reports and Punch Lists elaborated at/with sub-vendors, feed and maintain the Sulzer NCR tool including follow-up

  • Promote appropriate actions in order to prevent or eliminate potential non‐conformities or delays, and identify and prevent their causes

  • Identify areas for improvement, bring in ideas to continouosly improve the order execution process involving subcontracted components


 


Your Profile



  • Engineer, Technician or person with technical or quality background and relevant/proven experience

  • Several years (5+) of experience in expediting of components and engineered / fabricated equipment

  • Experience with pressure equipment or rotating equipment is an advantage

  • Experience in project execution for produced and capital-intensive goods including tools being applied (time schedules, inspection and test/quality plans, non-conformity-reporting, etc.)

  • Good IT skills (SAP, MS Office, particularly MS Excel)

  • Knowledge with Codes, Standards, Directives

  • Fluency in English, any other European language is an advantage

  • Confident and determined in dealing with suppliers

  • Good communication, ability to motivate and convince stakeholders

  • Flexibility to travel 60%, sometimes at short notice
