The successful applicant will be working in an interdisciplinary team to explore, implement and extend several eukaryotic expression hosts for the expression of functional proteins of disease relevance. Duration of employment: 6-8 months / Start date: ASAP

We currently have an opportunity within PS group to work on protein expression optimization and protein characterization by biophysical analysis. The major component of the expected work will involve testing insect or mammalian cells as expression hosts. The major part of the work is based on wet lab experiment along with critical analysis of data and smart designing of experiments. The student will gain insights into latest technologies in expression, purification and characterization.

• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.

• Good organization and communication skills, flexibility and ability to work with people from different backgrounds.

• Interest in expanding knowledge of biological sciences and desire to learn.Minimum requirementsYou are an enrolled Master student in either protein biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology or a related field. Excellent oral and written English.

• Strong theoretical knowledge of eukaryotic expression system. • Hands-on experience in molecular biology, protein expression and purification.
