We are looking to hire 3 Lifecycle Leaders (LCL) to drive the:

1. Lab Automation Lifecycle Team

2. Lab and Point of Care Software Lifecycle Team

3. Laboratory and Advanced Service Analytics Lifecycle Team

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to shape and position a business that is in the centre of Roche Diagnostics’ next 10 years’ strategy.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Be the single point of accountability for Roche’s long-term success for the defined business segment


• Take the lead for defining the strategy for the business segment


• Manage the strategic portfolio of products from concept to obsolescence, as well as all activities related to development, approval, launch and commercialization.


• Be ultimately accountable for successful execution of projects and meeting milestones on time, in scope and in budget; and in alignment with overall product / solution roadmap


• Cultivate a “Great Place to Work” by creating a stimulating and motivating working environment which fosters attracting, engaging, retaining and developing high performers.


• Establish and maintain an adequate organizational structure by anticipating and planning for changes in the business and their implications for structure, roles and responsibilities and talent needs.


• Work collaboratively across organizations, facilitate team problem solving, with final decision-making authority and ability to cascade and align organizations on these decisions


• Mobilize Roche’s global resources to support the product portfolio, including regions, sites and local management.

As an ideal candidate you possess a cross disciplinary background with a combination of senior leadership ideally in both commercial and product development roles.

You have successfully demonstrated decisive and cross functional team leadership as well as strategic capabilities

Furthermore, your profile includes the following experience and competencies:

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Life Science


• 10+ years progressive related business and commercial experience in leadership positions preferably in diagnostics/medical devices


• Deep knowledge about the Diagnostics Workflow/Product IT market and product landscape


• High level of drive and a focus on goal achievement, and abilities to cope with change and uncertainty as projects in the portfolio develop through their life cycle


• Excellent analytical skills and ability to address topics in a structured manner


• Strong communication skills


• Ability to lead and influence in a complex, highly matrixed organization; including gaining alignment across business areas and global functions. 


• Willingness to travel up to 25% of your time


• For the Laboratory and Advanced Service Analytics Lifecycle Team: Expertise in the fields of big data and analytics (experience in the healthcare environment preferred eg. healthcare analytics, laboratory business intelligence, laboratory data analytics, data platforms)
