The “Vendor Governance Analyst” works with the Vendor Governance Lead within the Partner & Vendor Management (P&VM) team to support the vendor management organization for Roche Diagnostics’ Solution Integration and Services (SIS) function. This is a key role that contributes to effective vendor governance with an aim to optimize the value delivered by vendors. The ideal candidate has strong data analysis and visualization skills as well as reporting and presentation skills, proficiency in developing and deploying methodologies and technology to convert data into actionable intelligence, ability to prepare and conduct effective and compelling surveys, expertise in working with tools for supporting or automating the above tasks, and a flair for managing different stakeholders in complex global matrix environments.


The challenge


P&VM takes ownership of, and is accountable for streamlined interactions between internal and external stakeholders. We work closely together with our internal stakeholders and strive to be the trusted advisor and natural go-to partner for vendor relationship matters. The Vendor Governance Analyst is a key role that will enable P&VM to manage vendors effectively and efficiently, by providing the needed infrastructure (including tools, templates and dashboards), methodologies as well as information.


The impact


Effective engagement of partners and vendors is recognized as a key enabler in SIS’ evolution towards becoming a provider of integrated solutions. As the Vendor Governance Analyst you will help in creating the enabling infrastructure and methodologies as well as in providing information that will guide all stakeholders through the relationship lifecycle.  Once proven successful in SIS, we can provide valuable insights into the group-wide ecosystem of vendor management teams.

Main responsibilities



  • Support establishment, maintenance and continuous enhancement of a world class vendor governance program that supports the SIS and P&VM strategic priorities

  • Provide foundational infrastructure (including tools, templates and dashboards), methodologies as well as information that enable the P&VM team to manage the holistic vendor management lifecycle

  • Develop and continuously enhance the ecosystem of data sources and ensure fit-for-purpose business intelligence

  • Implement vendor performance and spend dashboards and reports, and prepare and conduct surveys, to support continuous assessment of the business relationship with vendor

  • Support team members in the preparation of vendor governance related documents (e. g. presentations) as well as the collection, analysis and visualization of data

  • Maintain the team SharePoint site as single source of internal data and as collaboration platform for team members

  • Rally internal and external stakeholders around compelling information that you assemble, always with a focus on enhancing interactions

  • Actively contribute to a culture of solutions-focus, progress, innovation, and collaboration with vendors in the pursuit of mutual benefit


To be successful in this role, you need to bring:



  • A relevant bachelor degree with exposure to similar environments; Relevant postgraduate degree is definitely advantageous

  • Proficiency in applying technology for automation, data collection and analysis, extracting intelligence from data and visualizing results, reports and presentations creation, survey design, etc.; Expertise in using automation tools for supporting these and similar tasks

  • Experience working in an international multicultural environment is advantageous; Experience in vendor management or related services and/or experience within the pharmaceutical / life sciences industry is a plus

  • Ability to positively influence stakeholders and colleagues, also without mandate or reporting lines

  • Excellent soft skills, highly empathetic, and an effective communicator

  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is essential; Fluent in German is an asset
