For our group Engineering team within the Business Unit Separation Technology in Winterthur, Switzerland (Zurich area), we are hiring a

Rotating Equipment and Packages Engineer (m/f)

Your Job

• Performs mechanical design and design evaluations for Rotating Equipment and package units


• Conduct technical tasks, defining equipment and process requirements, prepare technical tabulation, check documentations as per project requirements and participate in package integration with the plant


• Ensure technical expertise and support during offer phase, project execution, construction and start-up (FAT, SAT)


• Identify needs for machinery definition with given requirements and within the time and quality standards


• Perform the follow up of supplies with the selected vendor after the purchase order award


• Coordinate project interfaces, supervise information flow, control technical activities performed by sub‐contractors and vendors


• Maintain and increase the discipline specific know-how, e.g. by sharing and documenting best practices


• Travel approx. 25%

Your Profile

• University degree or an equivalent education with several years of experience with rotating equipment and packages such as
  
  
  
  • Rotating machinery: Scraper, centrifugal pumps, agitators, dosing pumps, gear pumps, extruders, polymer pellet coolers and dryers
  
  
  • Static equipment serving machinery: Basket filters, heat exchanger, ejectors, polymer screen changers (piston and rotatry type)
  
  
  • Packages: Solid dosing stations, pelletizer, self-standing heating units (pump, heater/cooler, thermal expension tank), water circulation systems, rotating infrared crystallized
  
  


• Project engineering and/or maintenance engineering experience


• Experience in use of 3D-CAD-systems is an additional advantage.


• Good skills in SAP/R3 and MS Office


• Fluency in English. German is an advantage. Any other European language is welcome.


• You are team-oriented and customer focused with strong technical skills
