Vision Software Manager

Inseriert am: 06.09.2018

ecoRobotix SA is a start-up that develops and sells innovative agricultural robots that reduce the negative impact of agriculture on the environment. We are developing an autonomous weeding machine that reduces the amount of herbicide required in field and vegetable crops. Equipped with different sensors, it performs a fully autonomous navigation in a user-defined area, looking for weeds that are visually detected and sprayed with precision by robotic arms with sprayers.

Responsibility of the position

More than ten autonomous machines have already been deployed in the field in pilot projects. Your main responsibility will be to support the image recognition software development team (10 people), in order to develop the vision software into a stable product (extended real-life tests, performance metrics, code quality and stability, automatic deployments). This strategic work will be done in close collaboration with the CTO. The software is based on machine learning techniques, in particular deep learning methods, which use the collected data as a source of learning.

Profile of the expected candidate

To meet this challenge, we are looking for an experienced engineer (10 years in the field of machine vision), both in the development and deployment of image recognition software (machine learning, deep learning) and in the deployment and validation of complete vision systems in industrial environments.
He will also have to have managed teams and set up testing and industrialization processes for image recognition systems (software and hardware). He will master the validation methods used in machine learning, in particular those of deep learning.
A strong sense of problem solving and the ability to find practical and realistic solutions are obviously part of the ideal candidate’s DNA.

Offer

We offer a varied job in a technological start-up working in an innovative field, the acquisition of experience in various fields, continuous training, as well as work within a dynamic team.
