Under the supervision of the Director, Technology and Innovation (T&I), this position will be responsible for building our global business systems strategy, architecture, and process, as well as manage operations of all technology platforms for our Global Workplace and Enterprise Services (GWES) Organization. This work will be accomplished through close coordination with other members of the T&I team, along with GWES Site Leads and Centers of Excellence, IT, Finance and IFM partners.


 



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Creation, development and execution of a global technology road map in a way that not only meets the needs of our business objective, but also provides a competitive advantage with technology and processes.

  • Responsible for the recommendation of systems, applications, service providers to best meet the needs of specific business needs; provide ROI analysis, functionality pros/cons, scalability, timelines, resources required, to aid business leaders (across all functions) in decision-making.

  • Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the company's data and network security protocol to safeguard the company's assets and intellectual property while ensuring employee's ability to perform work with efficiency and relative ease (Security and systems to align with company and industry best practices around HIPAA, GDPR, and
    other data privacy legislation, both in the US and overseas)

  • Management of resources and third-party service providers to support the development, delivery, and support for any internal and external system, software, applications and product integrations

  • The development of systems and processes related to the inventory of technology (hardware, software/application licenses, and handheld devices) and data assets.

  • The developments of compliant data warehouse(s) technology to collect, analyze, process, and report using high quality data.

  • Provide recommendations to executive team on current and future trends and technologies that the organization should evaluate and invest in.

  • Lead capacity planning and performance management of all technology platforms and build and maintain a strong strategic partnership with strategic technology vendors to meet the company's business needs.

  • In deploying technology solutions, partner closely with end users to effectively engage them in change and ensure full adoption to the new technologies, as well as new business processes that might evolve in support of the use of new technologies. This might involve the building of new business processes, as well as development of training in use of the
    new technologies (each of these activities to be coordinated with the appropriate supporting resources).

  • While initially, this role will serve as a hands-on, individual contributor with strategic foresight he/she will be responsible for hiring and leading a technology team.


Qualifications

 

Education Minimum Requirement:



  • Bachelor’s Degree


Required Experience and Skills:



  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related, and 8+ years relevant work experience in Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharma or related organization.

  • Experience in leading Connectivity, Systems Integration, and/or IT teams within an enterprise environment.

  • Strong foundation in IT security or cyber security for Biotech industry

  • Experience setting up teams, business processes and customer facing systems

  • Experience in integrating internal and external system/data with mobile applications

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including oral, written, and listening skills with a track record of communicating complex concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, including at senior executive levels

  • Experience managing in a matrix environment and delivering projects and services via a combination of internal, contract, and outsourced capabilities

  • Work collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across multiple stakeholders, project priorities, and organizational initiatives.

  • Strong financial acumen; ability to manage departmental budget as well as project budgets and tracking

  • Demonstrated competency in business process improvement and change management, capital planning or project management.


 


Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Familiarity with systems used and typical business process undertaken in the management of facilities and real estate (e.g. CMMS, EAMS, BAS, IWMS, etc). Working knowledge of the systems, hardware and software involved in smart building technology and the internet of things.
