Business Controller Swiss Market (m/w)The Business Controller Swiss Market is responsible for managing all financial activities for the Swiss Affiliate under the supervision of the General Manager and in close collaboration with Finance Germany and Accounting Lausanne.  Main responsibilities:

  • Provides management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc request on topline (revenues by product, sales channels, customers) and bottom line (cost centers, brand P&L) 

  • Management of Country P&L and part of Balance Sheet (incl discount & operational cost accruals) 

  • Active role in Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process – demand, supply and P&L reviews 

  • Design, development and delivery of financial reports/analytical tools to all Functions


  • Ensures on-going business performance is appropriately monitored and measured


  • Drives the annual budgeting, rolling forecast and supports Strategic Planning process


  • Performs analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities; provides recommendations to mitigate these risks 

  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly closing procedure


  • Active Business Partnering with all Functions (GM, Marketing, Sales, Supply, HR); supports implementation of smooth processes to support on time and accurate information gathering


  • Key Account Investment Analysis in alignment with Sales Managers 

  • Calculates/reviews business cases and ROI


  • Active role in maintaining an effective internal control environment, compliance and policies and provide documentation support for internal and external audits


  • Performs Finance for non-finance trainings including ROI,  Business case planning and Excel

  • Statistics and data maintenance IMS, XPris (CRM system) 

  • Check and approve (if needed) expenses for all units within approved department budget in system tools (Concur & GOLD)

 

  • Regular exchange and alignment with financial teams in Germany and Accounting teams in Lausanne (Headquarter) 

  • Preparation of PowerPoint Presentation for Management Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration


  • Minimum of 3-5 years solid financial and controlling experience, preferably in an affiliate and international environment 

  • Affiliate experience strongly recommended 

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting and financial reporting systems 

  • Solid understanding of financial accounting processes required (Oracle-Hyperion; M3; BO) 

  • Knowledge of financial planning, controlling and general accounting along with well-developed skills in financial analysis


  • Strong analytical and communication skills 

  • Team spirit and positive attitude; self-motivation 

  • Ability to work under pressure; able to react quickly and adapt to changes 

  • Organization & prioritization skills;  flexibility in working hours 

 

  • Languages: fluent English and German required, French desired 

  • Location: Zurich
