  • CVG EMEA Commercial Excellence mission: support the EMEA CVG BUs and Regions in delivering their topline, market share, profitability and customer commitments by providing innovative and insightful analytics for fact-driven decision making and enabling the necessary capabilities to optimize sales execution.

  • The owner of the role will work in close collaboration with the Commercial Excellence Capability Manager to anticipate business trends and changes, to design and deliver relevant and effective trainings and coaching.

  • Primary focus is developing selling skills and behaviours of target sales and support teams including remote sales across EMEA by designing and delivering sales training initiatives to increase the sales effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Trainings will be in-line with the Commercial Excellence and CVG organizational strategies and tactics, specifically incorporating and evolving the existing sales model framework.

  • The role owner and the team will collaborate with sales leaders in the delivery of trainings and coaching, with an ability to balance priorities of SHQ and local country expectations in terms of needs and delivery of the trainings.

  • Complexity: alignment across 9 BUs, 9 Regions and 1500 people in the sales (field and remote sales) & marketing organization, plus other support functions. The role owner will contribute to the CVG Go To Market optimization initiative.


A Day in the Life



  • Design a solution to change behaviour and drive value creation in line with our internal and external stakeholders. Including a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1-2-1 sessions & e-learning across BUs for all sales profiles: technical consultants (TC), field sales & non-field (remote) sales representatives, sales managers, marketing and business unit leader.

  • Deliver these solutions and training sessions to the sales organisation.

  • Coach the varied sales profiles as required to support the learning outcomes

  • Contribute to the optimization of CVG Go To Market transformation

  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver training and coaching in local language where necessary.

  • Demonstrate ROI for training programmes. Capture and measure behaviour and performance change and report training and coaching outcomes to ComEx and other business teams.

  • Adapt according to the training results and redesign to continuously improve trainings or coaching.

  • Know business, market and development trends and build them into training programmes.

  • Accomplish results through matrix employees/teams, and/or vendors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.


 


KEY STAKEHOLDERS



  • Supports CVG senior leadership team (SHQ and Countries) to deliver against their commitments and to embrace ComExcel initiatives

  • Build productive working relationship with Business Unit Managers in the countries and other sales support functions


Must Haves



  • BA/BS degree required, 

  • Facilitation, sales skill training, sales coaching accreditation

  • Computer skills: MS office, CRM system, LMS

  • Excellent communication skills, able to connect and quickly create relationships with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Sales Training Management experience

  • Working in a European environment and in virtual teams (at least 1 year)

  • Familiar with Adult Learning Principles and instructional design principles (needs assessment, learning objectives, performance metrics, and training tactics)

  • Customer Relationship Management Systems (preferable SalesForce.com)


 


Nice to Haves




  • Other European Language a plus

  • Sales and/or sales management experience preferred in the medical device or pharma industry (2 years) with a track record of sales success
