Deployment Project Manager - Construction

As a Deployment Project manager, you will be in the heart of a dynamic project team and thus manage all related aspects of the projects in a European region for satellite earth station deployments.  You will be responsible for the coordination, supervision and analysis of the rollout in one region in Europe for the large-scale Satellite Earth station projects.

 
Your responsibilities will include:
 

• Manage, coordinate, monitor and report on the performance of the various external and internal partners in terms of cost, time and quality.


• Ensure that high quality solutions are delivered against the project schedule in a timely and cost effective manner


• Ensure the relevant KPIs are met or exceeded


• Continuously manage and improve technical quality assurance framework for the project.


• Review and contribute to the overall process definition for the project

 
This position includes project management for earth station rollout, performance improvements and integration projects. The qualified project manager solves technically, commercially, organizationally and communicatively daily tasks and offers suitable solutions. Professional, methodological and systematic for one demanding project that spans satellite earth station site selection and acquisition, permitting/entitlement/regulatory, civil works design, civil works construction and ultimately the integration of the satellite earth station equipment.
 
The ideal candidate will have recent experience with end to end management of, multi-region satellite earth station, cellular or fiber optic deployment projects.

 

Requirements

• Practical experience in a telecommunication environment


• Practical experience in Project Management


• Experience managing sub-contractors


• Experience with Satellite Earth station or Cellular deployments


• Experience in tracking progress, documentation and updates of project status.


• Ability to travel up to 25% domestic and international.


• Fluent in English and German


• Swiss, EU (27) Citizenship, or Valid Swiss Work Permit

Preferences
Preferences:

• Expertise in one or several of the following domains: Electricity, Civil work, Radio Frequency, optical fiber


• Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering discipline


• Experience in network rollout


• Excellent computer / reporting skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Excel and other Project Management tools


• Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision


• Highly motivated “self-starter” able to work under aggressive project schedules
