Senior M&A Project Manager with proven track record in energy space

MET Group is looking for an experienced M&A Professional with solid background in energy space.  

The role requires strong understanding and past experience of M&A projects. The candidate is expected to manage projects independently, to coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to arrange the resources required for the successful project execution. He/she would be the face of the firm with counterparties and their advisers, representing the best interest of the firm. There are good prospects for further career mobility in an expanding and innovative commodity trading company.

He/she would be responsible for projects covering the following:

- Assisting the M&A Director in deal generation, coordinating with the relevant business division

  - Quantitative and qualitative analysis of potential strategic transactions, including development of in-depth M&A transaction models and presentations to senior management

- Full responsibility in the coordination and execution of M&A projects including:

• Leading negotiations with the different stakeholders


• Elaborating budget proposals and being responsible for keeping the finally approved budget


• Coordination of external advisors


• Cooperation with corporate functional areas, including legal, finance, accounting, tax, human resources, treasury, investor relations, and corporate communications


• Drafting of transactional documentation

Requirements:

• Master in finance or business


• At least 5 years proven track record in full-cycle management of M&A projects


• Experience in European energy transactions, gained in and investment banking or in a corporate side is a MUST


• A self-starter / motivator willing to follow through tasks to completion


• Strong readiness to work under tight timelines. An appetite for winning and achieving results beyond expectations
