Apply now!PrintDiagnostics Common Assets (DCA) is the software development organization in Roche having the end to end responsibility for Software Assets used in development projects and products within Roche Diagnostics. In DCA we combine all required functions such as Product, Delivery and Engineering Management. We are located on two sites - Rotkreuz and St. Cugat (Barcelona area).
Software Assets are implemented core functionalities needed in every Roche analyzer or IT product. This way development project profits from re-use and can reduce complexity, cost, time to market and risk.
The open position for Head of DCA Product & Portfolio Management will be based on our site in Rotkreuz. The team is located on both sites (Rotkreuz and St. Cugat) while you will have a Team Leader based in St. Cugat.
Your main tasks will consist of:
Direct and cross-site leadership and line management of the Product Management Team and the Senior Team Leader of the Product Owner and Requirements Engineering team (~20 employees)
Build an effective Product and Portfolio Management Capability Organization – act as a servant leader growing your people to deliver in self-organized and self-managed teams
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the delivery work processes as part of the product and portfolio management capability organization
Understand our internal customer needs: Constant interaction with the customer (stakeholder, management), including Gemba walks (“management by walking around”), end-user interviews and surveys, brainstorming, trade studies, market research
Develop and drive the DCA product vision and roadmap in close collaboration with the Head of DCA Delivery Management and the Head of DCA Architecture
Further develop the portfolio prioritization process
Responsible for coordinating portfolio Epics through the portfolio prioritization process - define the epic, its Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and Lean business case, and when approved, facilitate implementation
To be successful in this role, you need to bring:
A degree (University or Fachhochschule) in SW Engineering or equivalent
Ability to grasp complex challenges with a holistic view and a solution-oriented mindset
People and leading leaders Leadership experience and personality, with a people focus (coach and servant leader) and a sense for effectiveness and efficiency in product development
Visionary mindset wanting to drive an asset portfolio into the future with a strong customer focus
Experience in strategy development as well as portfolio development and management
Strong stakeholder management skills
A background and experience in R&D and business functions
