DIGITAL PROJECT SPECIALIST PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation. Why we are recruiting The Forum’s Digital Media team serves a global audience of 5 million visitors to weforum.org a month, has more than 13 million followers across our major social media accounts, and attracts over a hundred million viewers to online videos each month. We are seeking a Digital Project Specialist to help us develop these digital services and to deepen engagement with our online audience. Working in a small team, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scoping, and developing our website and tools. You will also work to support the public engagement goals of other teams within the Forum. A self-starter, you will have excellent organisation and communication skills, the ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams across the Forum, operate with a degree of uncertainty, and manage budgets and resources in order to deliver products on time. Reporting lines and interactions The Digital Project Specialist will report to Henry Taylor, Digital Media Product and Innovation Lead. This role involves working with colleagues in various teams within the Forum, as well as Leads for projects and initiatives that need to update or change the information they display to the public. Breakdown of main responsibilities
Develop ideas for innovative solutions and services, and write specifications and requirements documents for these solutions
Identify the needs of the relevant teams, scope out their requirements, and communicate regarding budgets and timelines
Prepare return-on-investment analyses and assess the advantages and disadvantages of custom build vs 3rd party off-the-shelf solutions
Develop and manage an annual budget for public website development with the support of the Social Media Producer
Manage the relationship with our web development agency
Harnessing the links between the public website, our community database on Salesforce, and our community platform for Forum members (Toplink)
The successful candidate will be assessed on

Conception and execution of forward-thinking strategies
The ability to manage expectations of teams and direct requests towards appropriate channels
Development of digital project management towards greater efficiency
Preferred requirements and experience
Broad intellectual background with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
3-5 years of work experience in digital project or product management in start-ups, consulting, or other relevant area
Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English
Interest in global affairs, technology and innovation
Ability to identify customer needs based on qualitative and market research data
Design experience, particularly the ability to create mock-ups and/or rapid prototypes, and run agile projects and processes
Experience of JIRA or similar issue-tracking software
Understanding of the analytics landscape to help run quantitative testing on products
Ability to manage relationships with external development teams
Strong organizational skills and ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-moving environment
