We are looking to hire a Corporate Learning & Training Specialist - AF m/f to provide the methods and materials to deliver consistent and current training to operations. Establish a culture of best-practice sharing, on-going learning, and constructively challenging the status quo. Leverage and promote Continuous Improvement mindset and supporting methods. Provide the methods, materials and deliver consistent and current training to operations.
Responsibilities
• Construct a coherent and focused training program to ensure that Air Freight operations are sufficiently trained
• Define and publish the training materials and ensure that these are maintained to reflect the current Air Freight forwarding applications and business processes
• Deliver training sessions to trainers of the regional teams to ensure that a clear understanding of the training material is established
• Provide a training framework /guidelines covering all training and coaching-relevant process steps to support an industrialized rollout
• Continuously update and improve the training material in alignment with the stakeholders and maintain it in AF training Library
• Develop new training concepts for large countries (e.g. train the trainer concept) vs. small rollout countries
• Keep abreast of changes/developments in the business environment and provide business-focused training advice and recommendations
Organizational Learning
• Support regional training teams with tools and methodologies to measure the effectiveness of the training
• Actively contribute to knowledge and best practice sharing across the SPM community
• Consolidate training requirements, create Air Freight training materials and maintain up to date AF Training Library
• Work closely with Regional Training Managers to support local training solutions
• Identify and address process related training needs arising in Air Freight operations, from regularity requirements, audit findings, and training needs analysis. This also covers changes in processes, SOPs and guidelines including WAME, Banned/Restricted, DG, Security
• Serve as a first point of contact for all training related questions within Corporate Air Freight
Process Re-Engineering: Focus on how we add value for customers; eliminate waste and non-value adding activities
• Detect inefficiency during trainings & coaching and provide valuable feedback to respective SPM
• Promote and support a culture and discipline of Continuous Improvement
Quality & Standardization: Promote standards that drive quality, eliminate rework
• Create, refine and publish required training materials to assure operational staff understanding and knowledge of Panalpina standards and processes
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
• Support Panalpina meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety and environment as documented in IMS and follow all requirements as set out in the QHSE policy
• Ensure that day to day activities embrace sustainability/Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace
Qualifications
• Relevant experience and a recognized qualification in training, learning and development, and/or
• Background in freight forwarding / logistics with training experience
Functional knowledge
• Air Freight Product, specifically operational processes
• Operational training (all levels), L&D methods, tools and processes
• Operational application’s know-how within Air Freight
• Knowledge of SAP TM or other SAP products, and/or excellent knowledge of Panalpina’s processes
• Knowledge of L&D methods, tools and processes
• Continuous Improvement methodologies
