DESCRIPTION

Currently we are looking for a
Senior Unix Integrator Engineer for our Zurich office to make the team even stronger.



During project phases you will work closely with vendors, project leads, business analysts, infrastructure and other interfacing teams. Software integration and quality assurance will be done in close collaboration with dedicated development, testing and change management teams.

Responsibilities



  • Determine software specific functional and nonfunctional requirements

  • Meet the highest level of operational stability and security for new software delivered into production

  • Ensure timely application readiness by working closely with our development & infrastructure teams, change & project management teams

  • Coordinate project specific packaging, infrastructure requirements and application issues with our external vendors

  • Conduct application specific (infrastructure & security) data-gathering activities in connection with audit and risk management requirement

  • Proactively support business analysts and project managers to identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional application requirements

  • Keep documentation up to date with new releases


Requirements



  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer

  • Expert in software engineering with a strong focus on operational stability, security and application resilience

  • Experience in Web and DB technologies (mainly WebSphere, Tomcat, Oracle, DB2)

  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux (RHEL) operating systems, z/OS would be an advantage

  • Knowledge of financial messaging standards SWIFT FIN, MX

  • Software development experience preferably in the financial industry (Java & J2EE) would be a benefit

  • Good scripting skills, mainly Shell, Perl and Rexx

  • Good analytical skills and know-how on MQ configuration setup

  • Solid background in system architecture, business continuity management and network design

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage a diverse workload effectively in a highly demanding environment

  • Ability to work reliable in a collaborative, international team

  • Highly motivated, confident and capable of both working independently and within a team

  • Strong written and verbal communicator who is capable of creating high quality system documentation

  • Aware of challenges of a complex IT infrastructure and constraints in an international company
