Talent and Development Manager


Having the right people in the right place at the right time is critical and so is the role of our Talent and Development Manager!  In this role, you will support the Global Head of Talent Management & the Regional Talent Management team to recruit, hire, retain, and develop the most talented employees available. This is the ideal role for the right person looking to support a global group of colleagues through active involvement in calibration meetings, provide administrative support for global talent development activities (e.g. training; tracking & follow up development actions) and develop training programs that will have a global impact!  If you wish to continue developing your subject matter expertise as a talent professional, there are numerous opportunities to substantially contribute to the definition and development of people learning and employee engagement. We expect


 



  •  A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a university in Management, HR, Psychology or similar

  •  5-7 years in operational and strategic HR from a highly regarded global or consulting organization

  •  Proven ability to apply best-in-class talent and performance management practices

  •  Experience in a large, complex matrix environment with exposure to international projects

  •  Exceptional customer service and partnership with HR and the business

  •  Design implement and upkeep tools and processes (e.g SuccessFactors, talent pools, calibrations)

  •  Support Head of Group Talent Management for Global leader calibration and succession planning

  •  Administer and support running of group-led initiatives, programs and RFPs with assigned vendors

  •  Steer and monitor global functional skills training, deliver trainings to targeted audiences

  •  Consult and support local HR and line managers at HQ regarding talent management activities

  •  Monitor and build department communication to embed Talent processes within Oerlikon

  •  Collaborate with communication and IT departments to define global messaging and best practices

  •  Act as the lead admin role of talent management in Success Factors and provide training as required

  •  Synthetize relevant talent data for recommendations and prepare Board presentations

  •  Analyze talent processes and programs effectiveness opportunities and recommend initiatives

  •  Excellent project management and planning skills

  •  Develop and maintain strong working relationships to create a sustainable talent pipeline

  •  Advance experience using MS Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and reporting

  •  Ability to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback

  •  Travel required up to 10% as needed
