Agilent Switzerland is successfully growing in the Laboratory Solution Sales market and offers great development opportunities. To strengthen our team we are looking for a Paired Sales for our Laboratory Solution Sales business in Switzerland supporting the responsible Key Account Managers with inbound and outbound sales activities. The function is based in the Agilent Sales and Service Office Basel, Switzerland. The position provides a great entry opportunity into key account management for applicants interested in a B2B sales career .


Focus of this position is to support instrument and service sales for dedicated accounts. Understanding customer needs and translating them to business opportunities resulting in a credible sales funnel are vital to be successful in the function.



Sales/Communication skills:



  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific Agilent products and solutions such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, Lab informatics and Service products (inbound activities).

  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability

  • Proactively call customers in order to identify and convert new business opportunities and drive technology refresh programs by providing the appropriate solution to customer needs (outbound activities)

  • Develop new and maintain existing sales opportunities by providing product and solution information in a timely manner

  • Follow up calls to customers to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any pending complaint

  • Support Account Managers in planning and executing on-site customer workshops and seminars


 


Analysis/Reporting skills:



  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction

  • Setup and maintain customer database

  • Provide clear visibility on funnel created

Your Qualification:



  • Bachelor / Master / PhD ) in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent

  • Excellent technical knowledge and communication skills are essential for credibility working with customers

  • In-depth knowledge on Liquid Chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques (EI/CI, single quadrupole, triple quadrupole, TOF/QTOF etc) including sample preparation and application background

  • Basic experience with Chromatography and Spectroscopy techniques, applications and products

  • Effective communication skills - verbal, written and listening in German, French and English language are mandatory as well as excellent telephone sales capabilities.
