As a MathWorks Training Engineer you will deliver MATLAB product and application specific courses to our customers.  In addition to delivering trainings on MathWorks core technical computing products you will also train our customers in data analysis, image processing, modeling and simulation. Training courses are either off-the shelf offerings or can be adapted to our customers' specific needs. Travel of 25%-50% will be required for courses delivered at a customer sites.


Responsibilities


A Training Engineer provides basic, advanced and application focused courses to users of MathWorks products. Specific activities include researching industry and application specific concepts, maintain course content, delivering courses on multiple products, providing appropriate feedback to our development and sales organizations, and identifying course improvements based on attendees' evaluations. 


 


Minimum Qualifications



  • Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience) is required.


Additional Qualifications



  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in engineering or science.

  • Experience with MATLAB and other MathWorks products.

  • Strong presentation/communication skills and the proven ability to deliver training to a highly technical audience.

  • Experience in the fields of data analysis, statistical analysis, image processing, machine learning.

  • Experience in R&D, from academia and in connection with industry.

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English required.

  • Good working knowledge of a third European language, ideally French, Italian, or Spanish, is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of other programming languages such as C++ is a plus.
