Mission


You will join the data team at group level to support business lines (Pictet Wealth Management, Pictet Asset Management, Pictet Asset Services) and corporate functions (Compliance, Finance, HR, etc.) in their need for analytics and smart data to drive their businesses and activities.


You will be part of the Organisation & Digital unit at Group level and will report directly to the Group Chief Data Officer.


Responsibilities


You will be accountable for:


 



  • Supporting the identification of the right analytical use cases in collaboration with business stakeholders, and assessing the value, feasibility and set-up to be used.  Examples of business cases you may work on include: churn models, fraud detection, identifying risky client behaviour, customer 360, client segmentation, pricing models, and HR indicators for people retention.

  • Creating and implementing data mining/predictive analytics solutions to support business stakeholders in monitoring their day-to-day business.

  • Leading big data experimentation for the Pictet Group, mainly involving internal data. 

  • Communicating findings and marketing the value of use cases to reinforce the digital change internally. 

  • Analysing potential failures and areas of improvement in each project to help the innovation team grow.

  • Working closely with IT and Group Security to set the proper environment for data mining and analytics deployment.

  • Building an open innovation eco system (creating API and dedicated website for developers, organising hackathons, etc.)

  • Developing partnerships with universities data labs.

  • Watching and evaluating Fintech and external data solutions that could meet our internal data needs.

  • Managing trainees, graduates, partners and consultants on several analytical projects.


Profile



  • 3-7 years  hands-on experience with data mining, machine learning, statistics and predictions (such as Python, R, SAS), experience in the financial industry or in consulting a real plus. 

  • Experience with software development tools (version control, unit test, etc.), DevOps techniques and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools (ex. Tableau, BO) with solid SQL-coding skills.

  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.

  • Proven business acumen (ex: business analyst or management consulting role).

  • Entrepreneurial and can-do spirit, autonomy and problem-solving skills.

  • Team spirit and change-agent attitude (listening, negotiating and influencing skills).

  • Good presentation skills and ability to communicate both to business and technical audiences.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • The successful candidate will be required to reside in Switzerland.
