Lead Change & Release Management

In this interesting role you will be responsible for delivery of the Banks Change and Release process, including management oversight of the Configuration Management process, reporting directly to the Team Manager Service Management and Transition. You will lead a team of two specialists in the definition, management and improvement of process, including responsibility for respective frameworks, tooling and controls. For this position at our headquarter in Zurich-Altstetten we are looking for a committed and service-oriented personality with strong analytical skills and extensive experience with Change and Release Management Processes and Systems. We are looking forward to your application.Key responsibilities

  • Management and improvement of Cembra’s Change, Release and Configuration Management policies and standards, acting with a large degree of autonomy

  • Drive an ITIL best practice approach, and ensure compliance with defined procedures

  • Own the Change Management process within Cembra, ensure a smooth and auditable process that is understood by all stakeholders across the Bank

  • Plan and manage all Changes effectively, ensuring benefits and risk are analysed and the delivered changes create expected business value

  • Manage and oversee the master release schedule for the bank, including coordination and oversight of all release deployments

  • Ownership of the Change, Release modules in Service Now, including ensuring correct recording of all Change, Release and Configuration activities

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholder functions such as Test Management, Software Engineering, Service Operations

  • Define robust KPIs and Metrics for Change and Release Management and establish a reporting dashboard, including creation of reports suitable for the respective management levels

  • Liaise with third party vendors and contractors to ensure that Change and Release Management processes are understood and correctly executed

  • Provide consultancy to other Service Management functions regarding ITIL processes

  • Formulate long term strategic service improvement plans for Change and Release Management, ensuring cost optimization and efficiency gains

  • Contribute to other IT Projects/Initiatives, providing support and advice as required

Your profile

  • Extensive experience with Change and Release Management Process and Systems

  • Previous experience leading a team in Change and/or Release Management or demonstrable experience in a similar area

  • Good knowledge of Configuration Management principles

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies advantageous

  • Experience with Service Now or other ITSM tools, for example Remedy, HPSM

  • Able to develop relationships across all levels of the organization and effectively manage expectations

  • Experience with design and implementation of other service management processes such as
    Incident Management, Problem Management desirable

  • Excellent analytical skills, comfortable with analysis of information and able to represent results in a clear and concise manner

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both individually and in a team

  • Excellent working knowledge of English (written and spoken) required. German advantageous.
