The School of Engineering, Food Process Engineering group is looking for a PhD studentIHRE AUFGABETAs a member of the Food Process Engineering group, you will work on the development of a multifunctional process with impact on proteins and microorganisms in semi-finished dairy products. Your specific responsibilities will involve running processes at pilot plant scale with variable parameters and compositions, the physical-chemical analysis of the materials, and the redesign of equipment and scaling of processes. Skills in mathematical computation of heat transfer and fluid dynamics are an advantage. This R&D project is linked to the re-design of a complex production line in the medium term. You will submit your PhD thesis to the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ), where you will also have a supervisor and receive additional support.IHR PROFILYou hold a university degree (Master or Diploma) in food sciences or chemical engineering, or an equivalent degree at a technical university. You received excellent grades, are able to work independently and are target-oriented.
