Responsibilities & Profile


Your responsibilities



  • Managing audit and other assurance related assignments from planning through to finalization of reports in line with agreed timescales

  • Coordinating with global teams and taking responsibility for planning, execution and reviewing of deliverables

  • Ability to effectively manage professional schedule, including diverse client assignments and staff

  • Lead engagement team discussions on innovating the approach to every area of the audit to enhance quality and deliver the most effective and efficient audit. Where appropriate, actively participate in deployment of innovative tools, techniques and approaches to enhance delivery of quality audits

  • Resolution of accounting/technical issues raised by clients and prepare reports on key audit matters

  • Keep up-to-date with any changes or planned changes to accounting standards and or other pronouncements and understand their impact upon the audit strategy

  • Assist the partner/director in creating and maintaining a sufficiently detailed budget of engagements to allow for proper tracking and analysis of hours incurred on engagements

  • Carry out firm management activities e.g. risk management, resource reviews, client and inter-firm billings etc

  • Support Market Development efforts by sustaining effective relationships with clients while assisting with client proposals

  • Be actively engaged in staff performance development process and completing engagement reviews in a timely and thorough manner

 

Your profile



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting and /or Finance

  • Knowledge of IFRS and or US GAAP

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or international equivalent

  • Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques

  • At least 5 years' experience in Audit department within a big 4 or other major Audit company

  • Experience auditing UN or large multinational organizations

  • Fluent in English (written and oral a must). French a real plus

  • Able to supervise team and work within a team environment

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail

  • Actively listen to others; address concerns and different viewpoints

  • Proactive, stress-resilient, flexible and willing to travel

  • Able to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment
