Responsibilities & Profile


Your responsibilities



  • Advising clients on a wide range of complex international Indirect Tax matters as well as Swiss Indirect Tax matters

  • Project work, including tax restructuring and optimisation, cross border transactions, supply chain management, process consulting (e.g. VAT in ERP reviews / implementations) and data analytics etc.

  • Dealing with VAT audits and assisting with due diligence work

  • Building strong client relationships by managing existing clients and providing exceptional level of client service for companies operating in different industries

  • Support in further developing the International Indirect Tax team within KPMG Switzerland by identifying opportunities, developing new business and contributing to winning new clients

  • Taking overall responsibility of the quality of services provided to the clients

  • Close cooperation with other internal departments e.g. Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Audit, Advisory and Legal

 

Your profile



  • University degree in Law and/or Economics

  • Qualification in tax or advanced training in Tax, in particular, in national and/or international VAT is desirable

  • Strong International Indirect Tax technical skills and willing to further develop those skills, Customs and Excise knowledge would be an asset

  • Relevant experience in managing complex national and international customs projects

  • Big 4 firm experience is essential

  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience required

  • Specific IT knowledge in SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Oracle, JDE would be an asset

  • Fluent in English and French, German is an asset

  • Willing to travel within Switzerland (notably to Lausanne depending on clients/projects needs)

  • Extensive communication skills and good time management skills (multi-tasking)

  • Inspiring, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic

  • Curious mind and attention to details
