Apply now!PrintThe primary role of the Portfolio Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organisation’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. He/she will guide the evolution of the IT Landscape that aligns and drives current and future business needs across Group Functions IT (FG), while acting as an internal consultant to support evolving IT capabilities, solutions and services from an end to end architecture perspective. The Portfolio Architect will work on multiple architectural engagements and will be viewed as an expert who provides deep knowledge and consulting within FG and drives cross-portfolio topics with Portfolio/Enterprise architects across Roche
Your main responsibilities include:
Evaluate strategic and operating plans to ensure alignment with architectural standards and Roche’s long-term business objectives
Conduct technology review of FG solutions and components and together with Solution Architects develop, maintain and implement architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategies
Perform market research and identify solutions in the category of new vendor, new technology, and new capability
Lead vendor selection process and provide recommendations for investment in technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership and cost benefit analysis. Identify associated constraints and implementation risks and their impact on the enterprise and business objectives
Lead the FG solution architect community on end-to-end architecture topics covering Business, Data, Application and Technology domains as well as further development and maintenance of architecture framework, policies and processes
Share best practices, lessons learned and constantly ensure architecture standards are updated based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming vendor products and solutions
You bring the following qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a similar role
Strong business and technological market acumen
Proven experience across multiple business areas, and multiple technologies with well- rounded background in applications, software, databases, middleware
Evangelist for bigger picture strategy, integrating business & technological vision, connecting dots across business needs, technologies, processes and information
Demonstrated experience in evaluating, establishing & positioning technology standards
Solid presentation skills, ability to effectively listen, collaborate and influence
Ability to multi-task and switch between tasks quickly and smoothly
A strong desire to learn and expand technical knowledge
Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques
Able to work autonomously and exhibit excellent judgment
Preferred
Experience with Enterprise Architecture Tools, repositories and meta-modeling
Certification or experience with enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF
ITIL Foundation level certification
