Senior Investment and Risk Analyst

The Bank for International Settlements seeks a Senior Investment and Risk Analyst to join our Financial Analysis unit.

We are an international organisation promoting global monetary and financial stability, and a bank for central banks. You will support our mission by helping design, develop and implement tools to analyse the valuation, performance and risk of the Bank’s trading positions, instruments and portfolios.

You will lead and coordinate the introduction of new instruments and products, and analyse special or complex transactions and pricing models. You will also carry out ad hoc quantitative analysis in the area of reserve/investment/risk management. In addition, you will help improve and strengthen existing business processes.We look forward to meeting candidates with extensive experience in financial services and an MSc or PhD in a quantitative subject. You will be familiar with financial mathematics, and have good knowledge of financial derivative instruments, portfolio theory and data science. You should have programming skills in scripting languages such as Python and MATLAB and have experience with dashboarding tools such as Tableau. An ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential. You should also have excellent oral and written English, with knowledge of a second major language an advantage.
