Euresearch is a non-profit association with offices in all the Swiss regions and a Network Office
in Bern. Its mission is to inform and advise Swiss applicants on the European Research &
Innovation Programme Horizon 2020, and on related European Programmes. Euresearch is
supported by the Swiss federal government.


For the Euresearch Network Office in Bern we are looking for two permanent Research and
Innovation Advisors/National Contact Points (NCPs):


Research & Innovation Advisor/National Contact Point (NCP) for
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) (70-100%)
For this position, the ideal candidate holds a PhD in computer sciences.
Starting Date: 1 June 2019 or upon agreement


Research & Innovation Advisor/National Contact Point (NCP)
Food, Agriculture and Biotechnology (70-100%)
For this position, the ideal candidate holds a PhD in Life Sciences, Agronomy or Biotechnology.
Starting Date: 1 October 2019 or upon agreement


In addition, the candidate for either of the positions preferably brings:
(i) experience in applied research in academia/private sector, and/or
(ii) experience with funding for innovation, and/or
(iii) experience in the transport/mobility sector


In the role of an NCP, you will inform and advise clients from both the public and the private
sector in Switzerland on funding and partnering opportunities offered by Horizon 2020 and
related initiatives. Your main activities will consist of:



  • obtaining, processing and disseminating information related to the respective
    Horizon 2020 Programme on various channels (Euresearch Network, website, social
    media, etc.)

  • advising and training active or potential clients individually and in groups with regard to
    these programmes and activities (such as checking ideas for research or innovation
    projects or commenting on draft proposals to be submitted)

  • reaching out to and maintaining good contacts with individual clients as well as with the
    relevant institutional stakeholders at national and international level.

international environment. Your ability to adapt Euresearch services to the clients’ needs,
your client-oriented mindset, together with your excellent advising and presentation skills,
will contribute to the success of your clients. We expect fluency in German, French and

conscientious work ethics, especially during busy periods. The place of work is Bern, and the
position will involve national and international travel activities of approximately 20%.
