The opportunity we are offering is in our Preclinical Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (pCMC) department within Pharma Research and Early Development. In pCMC we enable the transformation of molecules into medicine by building the bridge from discovery to patients in clinics.

As a Senior Research Associate in Pre-formulation you are a key contributor to our success. In this role you:

• Perform Physico-chemical characterization of small molecules, peptides and oligonucleotides


• Develop specific analytical methods for these entities with a major focus on HPLC / UPLC


• Produce different types of formulations for preclinical studies at laboratory scale


• Contribute to the evaluation of novel analytical, formulation preparation and drug delivery methods


• Autonomously ensure the lab well-functioning

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a committed individual who brings:

• Professional education as lab technician, preferably in the area of pharmaceutical technology, analytics or chemistry and >5 years of experience in pharmaceutical development of small molecules or peptides


• Experience in HPLC / UPLC analytics preferred. Skills in additional analytical techniques are a plus


• Expert user of lab software (Empower, electronic lab notebook)


• Proficiency in German. Additional language skills are of advantage


• Result oriented and determined: you apply different techniques and methods and you seek creative solutions to overcome obstacles


• Ability to work independently and in a flexible way: you plan and implement formulation development activities with minimum supervision. You feel comfortable working on small scale (few mg)
