Senior Manager Market Access (m/f)


This is what you can look forward to:



  • Shaping of market access & policy environment for allocated therapy areas and products; including partnering with payers and policy makers to establish a system which is receptive and ready for new technologies (e.g. gene therapy)

  • Development and execution of market access and P&R strategies for allocated therapy areas and products aligned with the respective Business Unit strategy and the overall Pfizer strategy setting clear timelines, objectives and KPI’s.

  • Engagement of relevant external stakeholders (e.g. Federal Office of Public Health, health insurers and KOLs) to deliver on agreed market access strategies and priorities

  • Preparation and submission of high quality pricing & reimbursement dossiers; lead negotiations with the Federal Office of Public Health demonstrating the value of our products for patients and the health care system.

  • Engagement of relevant local and global internal key stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Medical, market access, HEOR and finance) to develop and deliver compelling value stories to achieve rapid, broad and sustainable access for patients in line Pfizer’s targets.

  • Leadership of ‘Market Access & Policy’ horizon scanning for the allocated therapy areas and products to provide pro-active strategic and operational input for in country and above country business plans and their execution.

  • Co-Responsible for achieving/exceeding commercial objectives for the respective portfolio in Switzerland.


What you offer:



  • University degree in Bio-Medical Science (e.g. pharmacy, medicine, biology, life-science) or Health Sciences (e.g. Public Health, Health Care Management) or Economics or Law (Master level); graduate studies in Health Economics is an asset

  • Minimum 6-8 years cumulated experience in the health care sector (pharmaceutical industry or government pricing & reimbursement bodies preferred); >2-3 years of experience in Market Access and Public Affairs

  • In-depth knowledge of the Swiss health care and political system, regulatory environment, pricing & reimbursement and listing process, and relevant legal framework including key stakeholders

  • Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics is required; Track record of developing and executing market access strategies, reimbursement dossier submissions and successfully securing patient access for innovative medicines and or vaccines is a must

  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators, and other key stakeholders.

  • Can lead and deliver complex projects and change involving cross functional departments and external stakeholders without direct exercise of command where persuasion is required; solid project management experience is a must

  • Strong negotiation skills with senior stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills driven by diplomacy in German and English (fluently written and spoken), French (fluently spoken)
