To support our Management Team and employees in Edmonton and Toronto we are looking for a

HR Manager

Your main tasks will be the following:

• HR Business Partner for the Canadian management team


• Maintain a proactive, professional HR Service to the sites in Edmonton and Toronto, incorporating: recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and development, retention, performance management, career development, organization design initiatives, key HR reporting, Occupational Health, manpower planning, site succession planning and employee relations


• Provide effective HR support to the site management team, line managers and employees in Edmonton and Toronto


• Ensure employees receive ongoing training, skill development and career progression


• Advice and support on disciplinary, grievances and appeals


• Interpret and advise on employment legislation


• Ensure the application of local and group HR policies/procedures and compliance with statutory requirements


• Ensure all statistical information is produced accurately and within deadlines


• Place of work: Edmonton, with occasional travel to Toronto

You have a degree in Human Resources and have already worked several years in a general human resources role in an industrial setting.

You are open minded, have a reliable, flexible and communicative nature and possess strong organizational skills. A high degree of independence, communication skills in discussions with management and employees and a highly developed customer focus characterize your personality.
