A Day in the Life
Market analysis and technological and economic watch
• Ensure or ensure technology watch functions to detect major innovations in the market and permanently situate the company in relation to potential competition.
• Anticipate the constraints and / or new regulatory possibilities related to the legal department
• Analyze and / or order the studies needed to identify market expectations: end-user needs, ergonomics, best practices, price, design ...
• Actively benchmark the solutions offerings of our direct/ indirect competitors in the NV business
Product development and team interface
• Develop and implement effective and innovative marketing programs to achieve the product group goals, monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives
• Responsibility for implementation of marketing plan and communication partnering with the area and country sales teams and the EMEA and local marketers. Collaboration with country marketing & management to ensure roll out of key marketing & sales strategies
• Accomplish activities that enhance and strengthen Medtronic global offer (cooperation between all relevant physicians involved - patient care pathway, scientific societies, Key Opinion Leaders)
• Main customers Call points:
o Neurologists
o Interventionalists
o Radiologists
o Emergency medicine
o Neuro surgeons
• Ensure effective and successful product launches and alignment with product manager pricing, launch dates etc.
• Direct field testing of new programs/products to determine Clinician and customer acceptance for new product development.
• Execute business development field activities according to national strategy
• Prepare, execute and follow-up commercial workshops and referral meetings
• Conduct trainings on Strategic partnership and programs
Piloting and accompaniment at commercial launch
• Develop tools in collaboration with marketing analyst
• Develop matrix to measure implementation and tracking of the sales results.
• and recommend improvements/changes where necessary. Measure and monitor sales force and region activity and results related to key strategies
• Work closely with the business functions including Health economics Training and education, Clinical & Commercial excellence & pricing to support the overall direction of the development/execution of supportive programs & tools.
Internal and administrative
• Report all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion
• Report immediately and accurately all negative customer or programs related events (e.g., customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks etc)
• Provide regular activity reports
Must Haves
• Competency in Marketing & Market Development
• Competency in clinical evidence selling
• Fluent command of English in writing and in speech
• Proven professional experience in the medical or medical device industry
• Experience in working on cross-functional programs
• Out-of-the-box thinking, high curiosity
• Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with all stakeholders
• Organization and sense of deadlines to coordinate the activity of the different service
• Flexibility to support Crossover activities with product manager and strong ability to work in a matrix environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of good judgment. Demonstrated integrity and respect of peers/subordinates.
• Creativity as well to imagine new possible applications as new features corresponding to a latent need of the market.
• Analytical skills to relay concepts through in-depth market research.
• Pragmatism, to evaluate the positioning of the product as well on commercial, legal, and financial criteria, and taking into account the company's strategy.
• Strength of conviction and communication skills
• Computer literacy
Nice to Haves
• University degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, Biology or another relevant degree
• Experience in the pharmacology/medical devices industry
• Knowledge of the competitive marketplace
• Professional experience in third party collaboration and management of Key Opinion Leaders
• Previous experience in working in the field
