DevOps Engineer 

The DevOps Engineer enables the frequent delivery of quality software applications.  This will entail the design and maintenance of build/development pipelines, as well as the monitoring and fine-tuning of our various application environments.  In addition to a broad skillset, in both coding and system configuration, strong communication skills are required in order to serve as a bridge between the development, testing and operations teams.  A successful DevOps Engineer will be critical in improving the quality, safety and frequency of our software.  

What You Will Do:

• Standardize, develop and maintain common development tools and infrastructure, such as CI/CD pipelines, logging, config management, etc. 


• Implement monitoring to ensure reliability and performance of our applications meet or exceed business goals.  Monitor application security compliance. 


• Support quality development practices and pursue new and better ways to build and develop software


• Involvement in all phases of software development


• Maintain internal hosting platform, monitor for performance and resource utilization and provide strategic recommendations. 


• Collaborate with Development Teams and Product Management teams to align project releases, patches, and prioritization. 


• Employ the values and principles of Agile development in a team environment.


• Perform occasional off-hours maintenance and support


• Availability to respond to system failures at all hours

What You Will Need:

• String C# skills (.NET Framework and Core)


• Experience with application packaging, deployment and automation


• Strong knowledge of MS-SQL


• Experience with NoSQL technologies (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)


• Experience in managing and monitoring cloud resources


• Knowledge of Azure DevOps/VSTS desirable


• Experience with environment monitoring tools (ELK, Splunk)


• Experience with Git


• BS in Science/Engineering or equivalent experience/certification preferred


• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
