Apply to JobJob ID263764BRPosition TitleHead Integrity & Compliance, Pharma Global Product/Portfolio StrategyJob DescriptionAs the GPPS Integrity & Compliance (I&C) Head you will work with the Pharma Global Product & Portfolio Strategy (GPPS) team (that includes the Global Franchises, Patient Access and Digital Medicines) and strategically partner the business to embed a culture of integrity by driving a robust compliance program that achieves sustainable success at every step of what Novartis does to reimagine medicine.



You are responsible to anticipate and identify strategies and solutions, working proactively to optimize opportunities, pragmatically manage risks and explore and co-develop innovative solutions enabling the business to succeed sustainably.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Drive and embed integrity to enable our associates to work with the highest ethical standards

• Provide sound compliance leadership and business decision advisory support to GPPS to help enable the achievement of business goals, objectives, and innovative new approaches consistent with our ethical standards, Code of Conduct, Global Policies, relevant laws, regulations and applicable codes of practices

• Collaborate closely with Global Medical Affairs and Global Commercial Execution I&C teams to ensure aligned advice to Global Franchises

• Drive a strong and dynamic compliance program that is fit for purpose and future needs including strong ethical culture, organizational governance, Policy Setting, Risk Assessment, Monitoring, Remediation Plans, Investigations

• Ensure appropriate alignment of GPPS Compliance Programs with Global/ Divisional frameworks and expectations

• Be at the forefront in understanding external and internal enforcement trends, emerging risk areas and best practices relating to integrity & compliance matters, enabling proactive support and guidance of the GPPS team

• Be an enterprise leader at the Pharma Integrity & Compliance Leadership Team and the GPPS Leadership Team, actively influencing the development and contributing to the success of strategic objectives to help drive the business forward to best serve patients, customers and our associates with high ethical standards

• Support the business in seamless execution of global strategies into local business-owned outcomes – be a thought leader on multiple topics with a special focus on innovative solutions, digital enablement, and the opportunities coming with multiple launches expected in the coming years

• Engage leaders to continually monitor the effectiveness of the compliance program including cultural drivers of integrity

• Be a trusted business partner to achieve sustainable success in a compliant manner.

• Lead/sponsor strategic I&C initiatives that positively impact the business, associates, customers and patients

• Lead, develop and coach the GPPS I&C Team ensuring excellence in business partnering, risk management and assurance supportMinimum requirementsWhat you’ll bring to the role:

• Degree in finance/business/law or other relevant subject matter, MBA preferred

• Advanced/business-level written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages advantageous

• Significant/10+ years Compliance experience of which at least 5 years comes from the Pharma industry

• Operational experience in the US will be advantageous

• Experience influencing leaders at all levels with specific focus on partnering with senior leadership teams

• Experience collaborating at multiple levels

• Experience working through change and leading and inspiring teams that may or may not report to you

• Appropriate experiences in a regulated & complex business environment

• Sound functional and technical capabilities
