Apply to JobJob ID260890BRPosition TitleInsurance and Risk ManagerJob DescriptionThe Insurance Manager is responsible for analyzing insurance needs and for structuring insurances for the benefit of the Alcon group of companies worldwide -He/she is also responsible for insurance program implementation, administration and claims controlling with a strong focus to expand into risk management -He/she collaborates closely other Treasury team members, team members from other Group Finance functions and various risk owners across the Group



Responsibilities:



• Analyze and understand insurance opportunities in close collaboration with risk owners and structure international insurance programs addressing insurable risks

• Collaborate with insurance providers and insurance brokers structuring insurance solutions

• Negotiate insurance terms and conditions with insurance providers utilizing broking support

• Assume responsibility for selected insurance programs and support the Director Insurance & Risk Management in the execution of the overall Group insurance strategy

• Oversee international insurance program implementation in collaboration with brokers and insurance providers; support local insurance transactions with local Alcon stakeholders

• Responsible for the preparation of premium budgets and communications with the insurance network

• Facilitate claim and loss management and transactions

• Support the integration of insurance into a wider group-spanning risk management framework identifying and classifying risks and opportunities

• Participate in projects and lead own projects for establishing a best-in-class insurance and risk management function (e.g. insurance and risk management support software implementation, digitization initiatives)

• 3 years of relevant experience or training in a group insurance, insurance company, insurance broker or consultancy environment

• Good knowledge of main non-life commercial insurance lines (liability, property damage, marine, financial lines)
